I left Nigeria for South Africa in search of greener pastures. It was not easy for me there but with my grit and persistence, I began to earn some money from the job I was doing. 

Before I left the shores of this country, I had a girlfriend;to me she was already my wife. I always contacted her whenever I had the chance to do so. 

Later, we got married and had a beautiful daughter.I would normally come back to Nigeria once or twice in a year just to be with them. 

When I started making money over there, I had to find a way to invest it. I knew I would not end up in South Africa, so I had to save some money so that I can be sending them over to Nigeria. The only person I had was my wife. I loved her so much which made her the right person to send the money to. I discussed it with her and she agreed to it. 

The agreement was to use the money to buy lands and properties for me. 

I kept sending money for years and hoping that she would use them to acquire properties like we both agreed on. I even told her to buy some of these properties in her name just to demonstrate the deep trust I had for her. 

At a point, I got into trouble that landed  me in prison. My wife was aware of this ordeal, but instead of standing by me, she decided to end the marriage. She didnt contact me to know how I was feeling right there in prison. Fortunately for me, I got released and then I decided to come back to Nigeria hoping to start  afresh with the money that I had been sending to her. 

I came back only to hear that she had been flirting with another guy for over two years now. She sold most of the properties that she bought in her name and used the money to send her boyfriend over to Spain. 

This is not just my girlfriend we are talking about. 

This is my own wife that I legally married,with a beautiful daughter to our name. I took care of her parents. I sent her money for everything she needed. 

I am quite sure that during this period of fifteen years that I was in South Africa, I had sent more than twenty two million naira in cash. Not to talk of the lands and properties that she was supposed to acquire in my name.

I felt devastated. I cried like a baby. I didnt know where to start. All the properties gone except few, like the house that her parents were living in. 

She was bold to tell me that the money is all gone. Not only did she divorce me for no reason, she also told me that she is not going to pay me back my money. She claimed that I was only taking care of her just like other men would have done for their wives. 

She had brothers who needed help, but this lady ignorantly chose to send a guy who he had just met, to Spain using my own sweat. 

What have I done do deserve this? 

Is it a crime to love my wife again? 

Why are ladies hurting us so much these days making it seem like there are no good women left in the world. 

I fought with her the last time we met and my friend with me who was just trying to separate the fight got wounded in the face. To tell you how serious this fight was. 

Right now, all I have are the papers to only one house, out of the many that I had acquired.She brought back our daughter and then she pleaded with me that her boyfriend will send me the money in two months time. 

I also heard in a rumour that the little girl she claims to be my daughter is from another man. Not one, but many people have said the same thing. So, as it stands, I have to go for a DNA test to confirm the truth. 

I won't buy into the idea that her boyfriend is going to send me the money in two months. 

How is that possible? 

More than twenty two million naira in two months? 

For now, am working with a professional and we are going to make sure she pays back the money, all of them. 

Why are ladies so heartless? 

I won't say all ladies. Because my friends still have their sweet wives that they are married to. 

Up til today, I don't know the reason why my wife divorced me. 

She only said that she has grown tired of the marriage. 

She told me that she won't beg me again. That I can kill her if I wish to, but as for the money, she had none left in her account.

I want to correct an impression here. I have seen some people who think that these are made up stories. 

I want to assure you they are real. 

Or is it when you see the victims crying that you will know how they feel? 

Or you want it to happen to you before you believe the truth?
