 WHY D'BANJ RATES HIGHER THAN         BURNA BOY

Unarguably the biggest Nigerian & African secular musician of the last 25 years. Shutting down the 80,000 Olympic stadium  in London, and stealing the show on a night that also saw Beyoncé & ColdPlay having shows in UK, deserves endless accolades. This happened a week after he sold out a 40,000 capacity stadium in Paris. 

Apart from being very good at his craft, Burna is adventurous; a risk taker- that's the more reason why I like him. That's also why I rate Dbanj above 2face.

While 2Face remained in Nigeria to be doing his music locally and be called "living legend" by Nigerians, and didn't make any serious efforts to push his music intercontinentally, Dbanj relocated to America at the expense of his spot as an A-lister in Nigeria & Africa.   That move cost him his career but played a huge role in paving the way for the Afrobeats music genre intercontinentally. 

Wizkid & Davido took the baton and consolidated very well but Burna has taken it to another level. Rema, Ruger, Fireboy, Tems,  Ckay, Buju are the next generation already doing big things and would easily sustain the tempo of the genre & possibly make it the most dominant sound in world music for the next 10-15 years.
