The above lines are worth more than you can imagine. They ignited a music revolution, and today the man behind those lines, Usher Raymond IV, has an estimated net worth of $200 million.

See, the year is 2004, and Usher's fourth studio album, Confessions, about to drop. Little did anyone know that the album would become one of the biggest-selling albums of all time, winning countless awards and accolades.

What was the secret to the album’s success?

The album's explosive popularity is likely due to its raw, honest lyrics and Usher's powerful vocal performances. However, many have overlooked another element: the tumultuous,    https://www.highrevenuegate.com/v5gx1zwr1?key=659c54666f870a7522b8d06a71c2e48amessy breakup between Usher and his then-girlfriend, Chilli, of the R&B group TLC.

Usher and Chilli had been in a high-profile relationship for years. Many fans were invested in their love story. The public breakup was messy and emotional, with accusations of infidelity and betrayal flying back and forth.

Usher and Chilli first met in 1993 when he signed with La Face Records. He was 14, and Chilli was 21 years old. TLC had already scored 3 top-ten songs from their debut album. The following year, Usher released his first single and became a 90's heartthrob.

In 2001, Usher released the song 'You Remind Me Of The Girl,' which went straight to number one in Billboard's top 100 songs and stayed there for four weeks. There was something more. In the song's video, Chilli appears towards the end as the ex-girlfriend all the women remind him of https://www.highrevenuegate.com/gpjj10cvhg?key=93865036bf3e2c36b0eb594594b3970e

From there, Usher and Chilli started a relationship. They were inseparable. Together they appeared on magazine covers and attended red-carpet events and every high-profile event you can think of. Their relationship became the hottest topic in the music world.

Chilli had the (naughty) looks, the style, and the oomph. She became a part of Usher's music videos. She became part of Usher’s public perception.

As the relationship got serious, Chilli moved in with Usher. And that is where the problem started. According to Rolling Stones, the couple would fight over little things. And in December 2003, that relationship was over. Chilli claimed Usher's infidelity had no cure, and was like that of a Luo man upon the sight of a fairly light skinned woman. She made this known to everyone who cared to listen. Usher denied the allegations. He told an Atlanta-based station, Q100:

"I will tell you that I loved Chilli a lot, and she obviously loved me. It just did not work out. But cheating is not what caused the relationship to collide and crash."

Pushed to the corner, Usher responded to the infidelity allegations by accusing Chilli of pressuring him to marry her. In fact, he told Rolling Stones that he had proposed to her while he was on top while making love, and she had said No.

Concurrently, around the same time Usher's relationship with Chilli ended; unbeknown to most people, Jermaine Dupri, Usher's producer and songwriter was going through a torrid time in his relationship. And he decided to put his feelings into songs.

In 2004, Usher released his fourth album, Confessions, which comprised music about relationships. In the song Confessions Part 2, Usher sings about cheating on his partner and making the other girl pregnant. And since Chilli had accused him of infidelity, most people thought he may have impregnated the other girl. The media picked up on this angle. The conclusion then was that Usher’s album was we detailing his relationship and breakup with Chilli.

Only that the album was telling about the events around Dupris’s life!

Dupris, in interviews later, admitted he had impregnated another girl while he was in a relationship (not with Janet Jackson) and  the news surrounding Usher and Chilli offered a perfect opportunity:

"My whole thing was to create a ruckus. Usher had a girlfriend, Chilli...I wanted everybody to start wondering who he was talking about. What's going on. Where is this coming from? That was the goal. All that basically sums up Confessions.

It's not just the lyrics that made Confessions so special, though. The album was a masterpiece of production. From the infectious beats of "Yeah!" to the haunting melody of "My Boo," every track on the damn album was a masterpiece.   https://www.highrevenuegate.com/gpjj10cvhg?key=93865036bf3e2c36b0eb594594b3970e In fact, the entry album is arranged in such a way that every song tells a story and the next song picks up from the previous story (song)

At the 47th Grammy Awards, Usher’s album was nominated for eight categories and won three: Best Contemporary R&B Album, Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal (for "My Boo"), and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration (for "Yeah!"

In 2013, Chilli admitted she had lied about Usher cheating on her and called him "my only true love…."

Today, because of the marketing ingenuity of the Confessions album, most celebrities try to create a controversy just when they are about to release a song…
