NOW THAT PRINCE HARRY IS NO LONGER A ROYAL, HERE ARE ALL THE THINGS HE IS FORBIDDEN FROM PARTICIPATING IN

False Information

As soon as Prince Harry announced his plans to step down as senior royals alongside his wife Meghan Markle, this became the most talked about event in the royal family. The two admitted that they preferred to have a more low-key life with their newborn Archie and that they would commute between the UK and Canada. Although they had no interest in being in the limelight as royals, Harry tried his best to make the new situation work. Unfortunately, he lost way more than he had expected.

Their Exit

Although the royal family wasn’t happy with their decision to leave, they were not entirely shocked either. Harry and Meghan had already made it clear that they were unhappy with the way the British press was treating them, even 18 months before their announcement. In a widely viewed interview with journalist Tom Bradby in October 2019, Meghan admitted that her British friends warned her to be careful marrying Harry, as the British Tabloids could ultimately ruin her life.

Too Much Pressure

Trying Her Best

Meghan continued in the interview to say that she did everything she could to adopt the British mentality of having a “stiff upper lip.” Unfortunately, it just wasn’t sure, she even felt like that kind of reaction was internally damaging. For her, it was not enough to “survive” the tabloids, she felt that the key to life is to be able to thrive and feel happy.

False Information

Harry was extremely vocal about his and Meghan’s circumstances. He said in an interview with Bradby that while half o their job is to put on a brave face and ignore the negative commentary that is said, at the same time it can be hard to ignore everything, even more so when its false information.

Too Much Pressure

The media was putting overwhelming pressure on the couple and eventually they could not bear it any longer. The couple announced on January 8, 2020, that they would be stepping out of the royal family. This statement posted via Instagram led to many shocked faces around the world. However, the couple mentioned that this decision was not made easily, and came about after months of reflection and discussions.

Royal Responses

The rest of the family was not particularly thrilled with the news. The family or Buckingham Palance did not even receive a heads up before the post. The Palace’s issued response was very short, “Discussions with The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are at an early stage. We understand the desire to take a different approach, but these are complicated issues that will take time to work through.”

Royal Responses

Not Just The Family Felt Bitter

The British tabloid the Daily Mail interviewed a few members of the royal staff after the big announcement. One of them allegedly said, “People had bent over backward for them. They were given the wedding they wanted, the house they wanted, the office they wanted, the money they wanted, the staff they wanted, the tours they wanted and had the backing of their family. What more did they want?”

Although they planned to abandon their roles as “senior” members of the royal family and became financially capable on their own, they planned to still support the Queen 100%. They said in their statement that they feel prepared for this new transition and intend to balance their time between both the UK and North America because they are not abandoning the Queen, the commonwealth or their patronages.

Not All Fun And Games

While Meghan and Harry surely benefited from several privileges being members of the royal family, that did not mean that everything came so easy for them. Aside from being bombarded by media, there were also many things that they were forbidden from doing or forced to do.

Following Orders

This one may not seem so bad, but it is just the first on our list. Everyone in the royal family is expected

to follow the royal protocol in the presence of the queen. For example, men nod their heads as she arrives and women curtsy. When the monarch enters or exits a room, then the people in the room must stand. Wait till you see all the things that require her approval.

Following Orders

Marriage Approval

Going back to the Royal Marriages Act of 1772, the royal family has followed by this ancient tradition that they must receive permission from the Queen before getting married. This law was created when King George II had a problem with his brother’s decision to wed a commoner. Thankfully, the Queen approved Harry’s request to propose to Meghan, but we don’t want to know what would have happened if she hadn’t.

That’s not that only part of the wedding that needs to be approved, but also the Queen gets the final say on the wedding dress. When Kate Middleton was engaged to Prince William, she was sure to update the Queen on all designs and Meghan did the same.

Modesty Is The Best Policy

Not only are there rules about wedding dresses, but in general women in the royal family have a strict dress code. Ladies must wear modest clothing, and bare legs are a no-no, so instead they were tights. Also, you will rarely see a royal with color nails, only neutral tones.

Stay Quiet

For centuries long the Royal family has been seen as figureheads of the country and not political decision-makers. Thus, the members of the royal family never express their political opinions or get involved in state affairs.

All about the monarch

The main idea in the royal family is protecting the image of  the monarch. All family members need to be careful about what they do and how they impact or reflect on the  monarch. Given that she had politically neutral, the rest of the family must follow this, and be careful about where they go.

A Helping Hand

Royal Expectations

Aside from following the Queen’s orders, many other obligations come along with being a Royal. For example, men must serve in the military, and Harry fought in Afghanistan as a pilot and then went on to be Apache aircraft commander. After serving in the armed forces he was motivated to create the Invictus Games, which is a sporting event for disabled servicemen and women.

Changing His Priorities

However, since Harry announced his exit from his royal duties, these days are long behind him. One of his friends from the army, JJ Chalmers spoke a few days following Harry’s big news. He admitted that Harry is now a father rather than the captain from the army that he once knew.

Having His Back

Chambers continued and defended his army buddy when he said that Harry’s decision comes from a desire to protect his family. This makes a lot of sense to us given that as a father and husband this should be his most important job.

Having His Back

Difficult Decision

On January 19, 2020, just 11 days after Harry announced his regulation, he spoke to the people as himself, not as a Prince or Duke. He told them, ” I am the same person that many of you have watched grow up over the last 35 years – but with a clearer perspective. The U.K. is my home and a place that I love. That will never change.”

Coming Foward On His Own Behalf

Harry admitted that as soon as he and Meghan were married, they were excited to serve together, thus their decision was not an easy one. After careful consideration and back and forth discussions, the two felt like there was simply no other option.https://lightningbarrelwretch.com/vehwi92c?key=0d0302c56b10ada00d81adaf348d7dbe
