 ABBA KYARI, THE MASTER SELF-PROMOTER WE IGNORED

DCP ABBA Kyari has been enmeshed in different illegal activities and criminal acts even before the Hushpuppi revelation and the  NDLEA video. It was severally reported in the media, victims have testified of how ABBA Kyari ordered his boys to kidnap them, detain them and force them to sign documents allowing ABBA Kyari to withdraw monies from their accounts. Some victims were even taken to the bank to make withdrawals by Kyari's gang. There was a particular case when lawyer of one of the victims interfered and ABBA Kyari promised to settle the lawyer with N5million if he cooperates. 

There was that case of a retired police multi-millionaire who was suspected of kidnapping in the East. ABBA Kyari's men gunned him down and his team seized his hotel business. The wife accused ABBA Kyari and his team of renting out his properties and the hotel and pocketing the proceeds. 

Even Evans the kidnappers was said to have been arrested by ABBA Kyari's team and later released few years before they re-arrested him. 

But in an unserious nation, ABBA Kyari was able to use the social media to create an image of himself being a super cop, a police officer that bust criminals, and in this story, ABBA Kyari is the only cop in Nigeria doing his job. 

Some people in the law enforcement know how dirty he is. But dirt is everywhere and dirt is normal in Nigeria. Sometimes in November 2021, an officer of the NDLEA and a friend of mine was telling me about how ABBA Kyari boys often storm their office to negotiate release of drug kingpins and their drugs. "Oboy, if you see the cars they are using..." he exclaimed, "they are big boys." It is the way of the law enforcement in Nigeria, they are all virtually involved in criminal activities, exception of those who have no opportunity to be in JUICY PLACES. 

Despite all the allegations against Kyari, those who call for investigations are tagged jealous, bad belle and enemies of progress by his supporters. He kept receiving awards. ABBA Kyari was a masters self-promoter, promoting himself to a statue of a celebrity that no one can touch. The National Assembly even arranged to give him an award. Aisha Buhari gave him an award, youth groups all flock around giving ABBA Kyari numerous awards for his valour. And over the years ABBA Kyari has lived the limelight so much he couldn't get out of it. He was addicted to it. I have personally warned him about it when he posted his family on Facebook one time. 

I believe before he came to the limelight he has been a dirty cop. In fact he may have been dirty from the beginning of his career. 

If this drug dealing allegation sticks, the Nigerian Police must seize all his properties and track all the monies and seize them and forfeit it to government. ABBA Kyari is not the only one involved in this, this is bigger and should be opened wider by those investigating this case. This racket has been ongoing for a long time.
