HOW GOD MIRACULOUSLY GAVE ME MONEY WHEN I BORROWED TO MAKE ANOTHER HAPPY

By Johnson Ezekiel Sunday

The news came to me as a surprise, that one of my students had just given birth to a bouncing baby boy.

I was happy, I wanted to go and visit her at the hospital where she has put to bed.

But, at that moment. I was having some financial problems, I didn't have any money with me. I wouldn't because of money not to go visit my student. Within me, I had negotiated on how to get the money to transport myself to  many FMC, and after many thoughts, I decided to go to a nearby friend and borrowed one thousand naira. He understood my predicament and gave me the money without hesitation. I was just glad, thanking him for the money he had loaned me.

This was the only money I had in the whole world that every day, I needed to see this my student and congratulate her, even if I didn't have money to give to her, at least I will go and see her with my two eyes, then pray for her and give her some words of encouragement.

I rushed to take my bath, wore my casual clothes.

I entered a bike that drove me to the riverside, then I entered a boat that took me across to the other side.

When I came down from the boat, my eyes sighted a very big banana across the other side of the road, it was beautiful in my eyes. I crossed, then my mind told me that I needed to buy the banana to give to my student, it was a good idea though. And she will love to have it too, so I demanded to know how much the seller was selling it, she told me two hundred naira.

I quickly calculated what was in my pocket. I have used one hundred and twenty naira for transport fare.

It was just remaining eight hundred and eighty naira. I muttered under my breath, after long calculations, and then said.

"Pack one part for me, but this one Madam." I pointed to her. She obeyed, took a black waterproof, and packed them gently.

"I sighted this your banana right from when I alighted from the boat, I never budgeted for it, but due to its freshness, I decided that I just have to get it to give to one of my students who has just put to bed." I said. She was surprised to hear that from me.

"Wow! Congratulations to her. Besides, you are such a good teacher, that's kind of you!" She replied.

I just smiled, shrugging her. After discussing for some time, I tend to leave when this woman called me back.

"Sir, take this and add to your own. Exchange my congratulations to her." She handed it to me, I was short of words, words refused to form on my lips. Notwithstanding, I can't decline such an offer, so, I collected it with gladness. And all I could say was,

"Thank you, may God bless you ma." Then, I left.

When I got to the hospital, I saw most of my students and colleagues who came to see her too. They directed me to the room.

She smiled when she saw me walked in, joy was raining in her heart as she saw me.

"Congratulations, Esther," I said to her.

"You're welcome, Sir. Thank you so much!" She replied with a muffled smile.

I sat down beside her, and other students were all standing, staring at the newborn baby. I held up the baby,

"God, thank you for your wonderful gift. You have done what no man can do.

You will be a hero and a blessing to your entire generation." I declared, I was uttering words to the baby as I handed the baby to her mother.

I told everyone present there a story of the birth of Jesus Christ. After my story, I asked the students to hold their hands and circle her with her newborn baby while we pray for her, after praying for her. I gave her the banana, but I couldn't just go like that. I decided to give her, five hundred naira out of the change. Before I left, I held her palms and declared a short prayer for her.

As I walked out of the hospital, I just realized that it was only, one hundred and eighty naira that were remaining in my pocket.

I thought about what I will eat that day, the money I borrowed has just been used when I paid for the boat and crossed over.

I needed to trek home, then use the remaining balance to buy bread and pure water, that was my plan. The sun came out very hot, it was scorching on my head.

I looked at the sky and told God to help me that day. I also thought about the one thousand naira I borrowed, where will I get the money to pay back and what will I eat. I became confused about everything.

While I was trekking alone in that narrow way, an elderly woman came out from a farm, she looked like one who came to work in her farmland. Though I haven't seen her face before, I greeted her cheerfully. When I passed, she called me back.

"Sir, please don't be offended. I was planning to see you one of these days, but a lot of work had made me not to come. Thank God, I met you today." She said. I was surprised,

"Really! So, I am here." I replied.

"I am planning to bring three of my children to you, I heard that you also do home lessons, during the school holidays?" She asked.

"Yes, ma," I replied.

"I will bring three of my children for you to handle for me. How much do you charge for each person?" She enquired.

"You know, this is a long vacation, I charge, seven thousand naira for each student. Because they are three, I can do a discount for you. Just bring eighteen thousand, instead of twenty-one thousand." I simply explained.

"Alright then. Let me give you advance." She put her hand in her wrapper and brought out sixteen thousand naira and handed it over to me.

"This is for your advance" I thanked her profoundly.

This was unexpected, something I didn't planned for. God used this woman to reward me for that day. I was full of joy and happiness.

But, when I got home, I waited for this woman for so long, each week and month. She never brought her children.

I never see this woman again, right from that day.

.

Why do I share this story?

Maybe this woman was an angel sent by God.

Always pay a visit to your beloved ones, don't consider your situation, try to put a smile on the faces of people and God will also do the same to you.

Had it been I never went out to see that my student, how would I have come encounter with the woman when I needed help the most? That was God in human form.

There are  many people in the hospital, orphanage homes, and in the police station.

Have you thought of visiting these people for once?

Visit them, give them a little gift you could afford, make them happy.

Put smiles on their faces

Make impacts in the lives of people today, and begin to experience the work of God in your life.
