WHY THE GOVERNMENT MUST STOP SENDING CORPERS TO TEACH IN PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOLS

Presently in Nigeria...

Once people leave the university, go for youth service, next thing, the same persons goes back to learn a skill...

If I was in any way close to the president or anyone in charge of NYSC...

I will stop sending corpers to schools to teach in primary and secondary schools...

Firstly, increase the allowee to 100k...

Send all corpers to go and learn a skill within that one year...

Let them learn what ever they have passion for...

Some should learn tailoring, some should learn coding, app development, Dex creation, welding, catering, how to play musical instruments, barber, hair dressing, driving, farming, Crypto and some should learn how to trade in several businesses and so on ...

100k monthly in a year is a total of 1.2 million

Pay them 30k into their personal account monthly and pay 70k into a fixed deposit account opened in their name which they can only access after one year when it has been proved that they truly learnt whatever it is they went to learn...

Let them use the 840k saved in that fixed deposit account as capital to start whatever trade or skill they have learnt...

I think this is better than sending most corpers who still needs to be taught to schools to teach  secondary school students who are better than some of them and even reduce the rate of unemployment we have in this nation amongst the youth yearly...

It was a thought but I believe it might help...
